Getting my first book published was an amazing and overwhelming experience. One that has matured me as both a writer and a person. 'Shards of Ice' was a 10 year journey and it presented many challenges, the least of which was the time it took to complete. I have been writing since I was 16, its an integral part of my life, I could no more not write, than I could, not breathe. This book involved complex research and assessment and so the time passed and I learnt and grew as it passed.

Because of this books uniqueness, it has its own story about how it came to fruition, so I thought I would begin this blog by turning back time and telling how it all happened. How I came to write it and how that journey was for me.

It all began on the day of Normies arrest..........
